This box is planted in answer to the famed letterboxer, C2B2’s, challenge: "Now you see it, now you don't." More information about this can be found on the Mid Missouri Letterboxer’s website: midmoletterboxing.blogspot.com. The entry is in the July 2006 archive. If you are a letterboxer from out of town, contact me through the website and I will provide some additional clues.
The biggest challenge of this box may be in retrieving it. It is in plain view in a VERY populated area. The box itself was planted at 3:00am. The site needed some final adjustments, and that was the only time (before I begin work) I could do my deeds unobserved. Early mornings might be the best bet, but please use discretion about when to nab this box! If you can't rehide during the time you are there....take it with you and let me know. I'll even retrieve it, and plant it again before work if need be. (smile)
Now for your clue!
The letterboxer went to the great oracle, its’ lair high above the city. The two towers spewed smoke in the air.
“Oh one of great wisdom…,how do I see that which is before me, yet is obscured from my vision?” the letterboxer queried.
“It is not your vision that prohibits your seeing, rather your perspective.” The oracle replied. “You must take the path of divine guidance.”
“Oh what do you mean wise one? I look and look, yet what I seek eludes me.” The boxer lamented.
The oracle was pensive in its reply. “Have patience on your quest. Look below us to the path where iron horses did run. Now there frolic steeds of a different mettle. Is that the beginning or the end of their journey?”
“Oh but oracle, that depends on the traveler. How am I to know?”
“At the point on the path that could be a beginning or an end, you will witness a sign. Within that sign is the answer you seek.”
