Level of Difficulty: Very Easy
Time: 15-20 minutes round-trip
Directions:
The River Side Letterbox was planted at the Halfmoon-Crescent Park in Halfmoon, NY. Take I-87 North to exit 8 and take a right off the exit onto Crescent-Fisher Ferry Rd. Go 1.8 miles down the road and take a right onto Canal Rd. The park will be on your immediate left. (If you get to Route 9, you have gone too far.)
** This is a micro-box and you will need your own ink pad and pen.
***Trail is stroller and wheelchair accessible, but the letterbox is not.
Clue:
Facing the river, follow the gravel path to your left. You will pass two benches on your right, facing the river. Keep walking until you see a brown sign with yellow writing that states “Halfmoon-Crescent Park.” You will also see two wooden posts. From these posts walk 7 paces farther down the path. Turn to your left and you will see a small tree. Behind this tree and under some rocks you will find River Side.
Enjoy!
