Entrance to park free with Oakland County Parks sticker; daily pass: $5/county residents, $8/non-residents

Begin @ Trailside Shelter @ 20 N.
Follow Lakeshore Trail -- Enjoy the scenery, this could take a while! -- to white bench located on right side of trail that reads 90 E when you sit facing Crooked Lake.
Read 180 S from bench.
Follow that course -- curve R, curve L, STOP! -- approx. 230 p.
Stand on stump at edge of path, read 280 W.
Follow the log to the "Flintstones’ neighborhood," where you may unearth a little "big" surprise buried right at the center of town.
