Located is Alderwood State Wayside
This is a great place to have a picnic, play in the water, frolic in the forest, and find an adventure.

To Get There:
Take Highway 126 west towards Florence. Just before you get to the little town of Noti you will see a sign for Triangle Lake/Hwy 36. Make the right onto Poodle Creek Road. Follow signs for Triangle Lake. At the "T" intersection of Poodle Creek Rd. and HWY 36 turn left. Soon you will see signs for a state park/wayside. There are 2 spots to turn off the road. The first is unmarked but has a obvious but small parking area. The next is about 1/4 mile down the road and well marked just before mile marker 38. Either will get you to the box but the second will make this box a drive by. Your choice.

To The Box:
If you choose the first entrance the hike will be an EASY 1/4 mile walk through lush forest. Cross the "old" bridge and make a left. Follow the trial to the "new" bridge. Stop do a 180.
If you choose the drive by entrance...Cross the "new" bridge and turn right. Take 15 steps to an up-rooted tree on the left. There at about eye level (5 feet up ish) there is a cubby hole in the root. There under moss and bark you will find Wings of Freedom.

Happy Hunting!
