"Who Knows?" Letterbox
This box is located at Mondauk Common, part of the Upper Dublin Township Parks and Recreation Department. It's a bit of a challenging location for boxing. I went to the park sight-unseen in order to plant, and I discovered that that's not always an easy thing to do!
This box contains a foam stamp, not a hand-carved one. If I remember correctly, it is "bring your own ink" and doesn't have any Swallowdale tokens (too small).
Once you arrive at the park, follow the white walking path until you come to a small reddish-brown sign that reads "3/4." Duck off the trail here and into the woods.
Next, look around desperately, as I did, for a suitable hiding place for a letterbox. Like me, you probably won't find much, but look for a V-shaped tree. The "V" is fairly wide and the vertex of the angle is low to the ground.
In this "V" is nestled the letterbox, suitably hidden with debris, including a rock. You will be off-trail, but not by much so please use discretion and common sense. Please re-hide as you would your own box.
If possible, please log your find on www.letterboxing.org and/or www.atlasquest.com. Status updates on the condition of boxes are always welcome, too. Check out the clue for "Miracle Garden" which is also in this same park. Enjoy! Swallowdale :)
