***4/12/07: Seems to be missing again. Not sure whether I'll replant this time or not.***
***Re-carved and re-planted in a slightly different hiding spot, 9/23/06.***
I love animation, so I have decided to create a series of boxes based on some of my favorite animated films. This series will not include any Disney films; I love Disney films, but that's just the problem-- there are too many good ones to choose from-- and besides, there are probably boxes out there for many of them already. No 3D films films will be included either; there are some terrific 3D films out there, but there's just something special about traditional animation-- and it's easier to make into stamps, too.

I am fond of many of Don Bluth's early films-- An American Tail, All Dogs Go To Heaven, The Land Before Time.... But in choosing one to represent them all, I had to go with the first, and arguably the best: The Secret of NIMH. The movie is based on Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH, a children's book written by Robert C. O'Brien and illustrated by Zena Bernstein. It tells the story of Mrs. Brisby (yes, her name had to be changed), a widow mouse who seeks the help of the Rats of NIMH-- rats who were made super-intelligent through experiments done by the National Institute of Mental Health-- in order to literally move her family's home and thus save her children from the farmer's plow.
In order to find The Secret of NIMH, you must journey to SL&G, which lies on EPCH in CDM. Hours are 10:30 to 4 every day (except major holidays) and admission is $3. Once there, find the place where the Rats of NIMH would most likely feel at home. To the left of the bo tree, you'll see a small bridge. Look under the left, front corner of the bridge and you will find the box.
Please be discreet. If there are other people around, wait for them to leave before you retrieve the box; this shouldn't be difficult, as there aren't normally many visitors at one time. When you're done, be sure to seal the box and re-hide it well; it should be wedged in securely and not easily visible.
