Level of difficulty: Easy
Time: approximately 45-60 minutes
Location: Wm. Mitchell State Park Cadillac Heritage Nature Study Area entrance off Rose St. (dead end street across from Kenwood Park).

Take starting trail number 11 toward trail number 10,
continue past the brown wooden outhouse and then...
Cross the first bridge but not bridge number 2,
hang a right, now that will do.
Keep moving along the number 5 trail,
if you enter the "observation deck" bridge,
'twill be to no avail.
Continue on past where the dragonflies fly,
another trail marker you soon shall spy.
Follow along the dirt path on your right,
the letter box you seek will soon be in sight.
This dirt path will lead you to trail number 9,
it seems a long walk, but you're doing just fine!
You will soon pass a place you can touch 2 trees,
while walking along with relative ease.
Up the path it appears to be
that you will walk into a 3 trunked tree!
Further ahead on the left you will see
what appears to be some mangled trees.
Now cross the bridge, you're doing great!
Isn't this fun?? It's worth the wait!!
Around the bend 3 trunks you'll see
2 fat, 1 thin all on one tree.
Beside this tree, please take a rest.
You'll now begin your final quest.
Take 30 "mommy steps", 35 if you're a kid.
You'll soon see the place your treasure is hid!
Just off the trail to the left you will see
a humongous 4 trunked mighty oak tree.

After you find the letterbox, please replace contents and be sure to seal the ziplock baggy and the box. Please place back inside tree and be sure it is re-hidden well!

If you would like to take a shortcut back (approx. 10 minutes) to the beginning place, follow these directions:
Continue following dirt trail. Cross the LONG skinny bridge followed by the short bridge (heading toward trail #9). Take #9 to trail #10 back to trail marker #11.
