Easy for Children
.3 mile walk
Take a break from a long drive on I-94 between Chicago and the Twin Cities at a rest stop just west of Tomah, WI. If you don't stop here it is quite a long ride with dogs and kids for the next break. This is an easy find and good for beginners and little travelers introduction to letterboxing.
Begin you walk between two large wooden signs - one that disappointed Smokey the Bear in 1977! After you read about the big mess, take a stroll down the paved path into the wood. Watch to your left for a little dirt path off into the wood through blueberry and raspberry bushes - you may find a tasty treat during the right season.
From the paved path - walk 15 steps into the woods and stop. Now make 5 steps to your right at the base of a fallen tree.
Please do not take the angel - she has been left to guard the highway and forest for animals and travelers. Stamp your books and rehide her carefully.
Thank you
