****Mustang Mania is currently (as of June 2007) contained behind a fence at a construction site. The gates are opened weekdays when workers are present, but the original directions will not get you to the box. Adjusted "construction" directions are integrated into the original directions. The U.L. regrets that s/he will not know when construction is finished and the original directions can be followed. Boxers seeking Mustang Mania will have to be clever and make decisions toward the end of the hunt. Please forward construction completion info to me and I will update clues accordingly.****

Notice: This is a magnetic letterbox. Please make sure that the magnets are evenly spaced on the top lid (space them on either side of the stamp). If the magnets are near the edge of the box, it will not close properly and the letterbox will be compromised.

Please use discretion. Security cameras abound.

Parking is available in a parking garage next to the starting location.

Find the stadium that has the same first and last name as the 38th U.S. President.
(This stadium was NOT named after this president, but rather after generous Dallas-based businessman.)
“Ride” the large mustang in front of the west entrance to the stadium. Go due north.
Do not stop.
“Ride” the next mustang. Notice in what direction the tail is pointing. Walk in that direction.
As you walk, look up to the right. Count the mustangs. ______
“Ride” the next mustang. Notice in what direction the tail is pointing. Walk in that direction.
Count the next set of mustangs on your right. _______
At Doak Walker Plaza, walk up 7 steps.
Note Doak Walker’s college jersey number. ______
Take a compass reading of 360-degrees. Walk in that direction.
The fleet of foot will be on your left.
Watch out for the large charging mustangs that will appear on your right.
Count the mustangs. _______
Stand nose to nose with the charging mustangs.
Take a compass reading of 270-degrees. Walk in that direction on a narrow road. [Original directions are not good at this point as long as construction is in progress. Please see "construction directions" below]
The fleet of foot will again be on your left.
At the corner, turn left.
Add up the the number of mustangs that you counted. ______
To that total, add Doak Walker’s college jersey number ______
Divide by 3. ______
Walk that number of urban steps.
On your left will be a “warning pole.”
On the side of the pole is a letterbox-sized hole.
The letterbox is inside the pole resting on a ledge at the top of the hole.

Bring your own ink pad and pen.

CONSTRUCTION DIRECTIONS
At the charging mustangs, continue walking north. The construction fence blocks access to the road mentioned in the original directions. Instead, walk north to the next road on your left. Turn left and walk west until you reach an entrance for a parking area on your left. Turn left. The construction fence and a new parking garage will be on your left. Walk south along the fence enclosing the swimming pool to your right. When you reach the end of the fence, look directly to your left. You will see a warning siren pole behind the construction fence. Stealth is vital!! If the gates are open, you may be able to retrieve the letterbox. On the side of the warning pole is a letterbox-sized hole. The letterbox is inside the pole resting on a ledge at the top of the hole. Please replace carefully. If workpeople are about, please do not compromise the letterbox by going after it.
