1/31/10 Address still on website as 221 West Steuben St. Hwy. 14 Bingen, WA 9860

6/09 Currently the tasting room is moving. Check their website for location, and when the new one opens. North Shore Cellars.

If you love to go on winery tours, or have never gone wine-tasting before, try going to ColumbiaGorgeWine.com where you will find detailed information about it, along with information about specific wineries located around the Gorge. I've placed boxes at 4 of them, near the west end of the Gorge. The drive is enjoyable, the views of the Gorge and the mountains beautiful, and the wine varieties abundant. Many wineries have beautiful grounds and a day trip wine-tasting is well-worth taking a camera. Some wineries are adults-only, so please be respectful of this.

One of the four boxes I placed has a bonus stamp in it, that measures 5 x 5 3/8 inches. OK, I know, it's a bit big, but it was enjoyable carving it. Bring appropriate sized paper for stamping.

Bad Seed Cider House. 11-6 daily. 415 West Steuben Street/Hwy 14 Bingen WA 509-493-3881. www.badseedcider.com 1 Mile east of the Hood River Bridge a couple blocks off of Hwy 14.

Bring a red ink pad, and a black one. This is a two-part stamp. Instructions are in the box.

Clue: The box is located at the counter, ask for it there.

Another clue: The hard apple cider is REALLY good....

Enjoy!
