No one has been able to find this box, so we believe it's probably missing. I would not recommend searching for it unless your going to be in the area anyway. Might be a while until we can confirm the status ourselves. We had to kind of hide it in a hurry, so I don't know if that was the best spot.
This letterbox is located at Port Crescent State Park in Huron County. You gain access to the park off of M-25. Also be sure to check out the Sleeper State Park Box located at nearby Albert E. Sleeper State Park.

You need to print a park map before you go. You can find one at http://www.michigandnr.com/Publications/PDFS/RecreationCamping/port_crescent_map.pdf
Using the park map locate the Chimney Monument. You will have to pass a ranger station to see the monument. Let the ranger know that you have come to check out the monument. Park near it and have a look.

“For many years, a giant 120 foot chimney stood on this spot marking the community of Port Crescent. Situated at the mouth of the Pinnebog River, Port Crescent was a great (WORD) and fishing area. The city was known also for its salt wells, fine sand, and good docks. The chimney was erected in 1872 for the Pack Woods Saw Mill which once occupied this site.”
