Mailed to Maiden as a cross country box planting exchange.
To the trailhead:
Drive past Trillium Lake Campground to Road 2656 and follow it to Road 2656-309. The trailhead is on the right, about 3 1/2 miles past the road junction. There are brown signs pointing you towards the right direction, watch for them. You are looking for the Salmon River Trailhead.
The clues:
Park your car and head down the hill. Count the number of different plants and animals you see evidence of. We saw MANY while we were planting this box.
When you find the bridge across the creek, you will start to climb. As you climb up the trail watch off to the right. About half way up the hill you will see a "clearing". There is a stump with a log behind it lying perpendicular to the trail. Follow the log away from the trail to a second stump. Inside this stump you will find the letterbox.
