Easy- 15 mins
Take- I-93 to Exit 34A- which is also the parking for the Flume Gorge. In the lower end parking lot (south most) is a small 1/4 mile nature walk called the Roaring River- strange name the roaring river never roars and mostly dries up in the summer. Take a copy of the map. Not many people walk here, but it’s a nice walk. 1/2 way around you come to a gazebo- great place for picnic. After you are leaving the gazebo-look straight ahead, will see a big Rock. Walk to the big rock, then turn to the right, see ahead of you a tree with large roots growing on outside. Look under the roots for the moose.
