This letterbox is called the “Mother’s Day” letterbox. Happy Mother’s Day! This box is of medium difficulty and should take about 30 minutes.
Below I have written some cryptic clues for you to decipher. These clues rely on renaming familiar names, places, and things in unusual ways. If last month’s clues were hard, then this should be a walk in the park...
“A misspelled half of a Montana town is a good start. Its base is a Southern Whig; its head, a triple S-W. Believe it or not, it turns into a fruity S.O.S. Hold it, though. Just before the switch, a native park marks your destination. You’re looking for a junior military settlement, though you’ll be hard pressed to find enemies. Instead, look for the ‘would’ that blends in, the ‘would’ of the wrong color, the ‘would you stay on the outside please?’ You’re now Romeo in this balcony scene and need not climb to see. So reach levelly for the wrongness that is right and enjoy the letterbox!”
