Clues revised, AGAIN, 6/20/2011 (Placed 5/31/06)
No. of boxes: 3

These boxes have been pulled from behind Staples because the trails were so hard to follow and getting worse every year. They have been relocated to the trail at the new parking area on Tillotson Rd. Cross the road to the yellow blazed trail as for Seuss Cat - through woods, through ferns and just before cut logs. Look left for a large stump with 2 large dead logs. Facing the stump go to the log on the right and examine the far left corner for the tuba.

Continue on the trail to the T. Cross the trail to the knoll by the pond to better see the lovely arched bridge built by Theodate Pope, the architect of Avon Old Farms School. You may possible see a beaver, as well. Return to the trail and cross the bridge. Pass two trails going off to the right, wave to Seuss Cat as you pass. Climb over the fallen tree to another T (or Y). Go left and look for a very tall dead tree close to the trail. Count 8 or 9 paces from that tree, climb the bank on the right to a 6 ft. broken stump attached to a shorter multi-stump.Look on the back side of the rotting log at the base of the stump for the clarinet.

Continue on the trail which will eventually make a nice curve to the right. The trail becomes more grassy. On the left you will be able to see the farm buildings on Tillotson Rd. Just before a dirt portion of the trail, nearly behind the farm buildings, look for a faint path on the right to a small clearing. Walk up to the clearing and find the 3-sister tree that holds the flute. As always, re-conceal all boxes so they are not visible and look as natural as possible. If in a tree, be sure it is secure and well covered.

Retrace you steps to the parking lot. The trail may make a loop but I haven't investigated it yet.
