BIG KNOB III
ROCK RIVER ROAD
Getting there: Take US 2 west past M 117 one and a half miles to Big Knob State Forest Campground turnoff (if you get to the Beary Patch Restaurant on the right, you have gone too far.) Turn left and continue down the dirt road for 4.4 miles to Rock River Road.
Clues: Turn left on Rock River Road. At the Y in the road, take the right fork.
You will come to a small parking area on the left within sight of the private metal gate.
After parking, walk North under the 16" dia. fallen tree.
In front of you is a 12" dia. fallen birch tree that points to a large tree on a hill.
Take a 270 degree compass bearing from the large tree and walk 12 steps.
You will find the letterbox at the base of the 2 trees joined together (a dead one and a live one).
Be sure to take mosquito repellent.
