This box is hidden in Beaver's Bend State Park near Broken Bow, OK. Stop at either the nature center or Main office for a map of the trails in the park. There is a 9 mile, David Boren Hiking Trail which is quite difficult but with nice views. This box is on a 2 mile section of the trail called Deer Creek Crossing. It does not loop and you can enter from 2 different areas. Just check the map.
I've been told that the mile 3 post may be missing. You might want to try to keep track of the distance yourself. It may have been pulled temporarily for maintenance.
You'll come to the mile 3 post. On the downhill side of the trail about 20 feet you'll see a hollowed out trunk with roots in the air. It is guarded by a young pine and many formica flakes.
You'll find this box under the large end of the trunk under several formica pieces.
Be sure and hide it back carefully.
