((I have been told that this park is temporarily closed. I don't know how long it is suppose to be closed, so you may want to check before heading out there.))

The logbook is full and I won't be able to exchange it for a long time, as I live hours away now. If you add paper, it will need to be thin/smaller paper as the 'box' is a tube.

Going north from Austin on I-35, exit Lake Georgetown/Andice and turn right on Williams. Turn right again on Business 35, which is Austin Ave. After crossing the river, turn right on 3rd Street, cross Rock Street, and park in lot on the right for Blue Hole Park.

There may be downed trees across the path. The box is still able to be reached by climbing over/through the trees, but it makes it a little more challenging.

This is the 1st of 3 bat boxes placed in the central Texas area.
Walk down Rock Street toward the San Gabriel River. Go left to walk with the river on your right. Continue until you reach the bathrooms. Behind the building is Pickett Trail. Take this trail through the woods. You will pass a rock ledge overlooking the river. Continue to the ledge that has repelling hooks embedded in it. Continue on the path to where the path looks like it is going to end, but goes steeply downward. At the top before you descend, there is a rock outcropping (to the right) with a small multi-trunk tree. Look north of the tree for the Batty Bat camo letterbox. It is under the rock ledge wedged in by other rocks in front of it.

Please re wedge and block the letterbox so that storms won’t wash it away.

Warning: there is a lot of poison ivy in the area and possibly chiggers “in season”.
