Temporarily removed to await permit

Coming from Pittsburgh go East on US 22. After you enter Murrysville turn right immediately before the Sheetz gas station onto School Road South (brown sign for Duff Park). Cross the railroad tracks and enter into the parking area of Duff Park to your right. Park your car and get ready for a beautiful, however at times steep and narrow hike. No strollers!
Choose the trail that starts out with some stone steps. Follow the trail and eventually you will encounter spread-out wooden steps. After the ninth wooden step take the trail through thick forest to your left. After a while you will reach a valley on your left side. Stay on your trail! Shortly afterwards you will enter a meadow. Cross it while keeping the number 203 to your left and enter a new trail on the other side of the meadow. Shortly after the trailhead you will come to a tree that is bending over the trail and forming an arc for the hikers. Continue on this trail until you reach a wooden manmade post on your left side. Turn left here. Follow this trail for quite some time until you see the letters MS right in front of you. Turn left again and keep choosing the left-side options until a fallen tree will be used as a step on this steep part of your hike. Climb over it and at the next intersection choose the path that after a few yards will lead the trail through the cut-out part of another fallen tree. Turn right at the next intersection. The path will lead you through a meadow again. Once you're back in the forest the path will eventually descend into a small valley and leave it again. At the first intersection after this valley continue on the trail that will again lead you through a tree, of which a part has been removed by chainsaw. Follow this trail until you see directly in front of you a tree with a distinctive hump on the left side. Here choose the path that will lead you downhill the fastest. Once you arrive at the second bench do NOT choose the path with the wooden bridge, but rather the one that shows the remains of a stone "bridge" (stabilization). You will eventually advance to the same level as a little creek. As soon as you pass a bench be on the lookout for a tree that has fallen over the creek. From the point of this tree continue 17 more paces on the trail. Then look left. You will see a fallen tree on the other side of the creek with its roots pointing into the direction you just came from. Cross the creek, as it has a section there that goes underground (except after heavy rains), so that you won't have to fear wet feet. The Snail Box is under this fallen tree, on its side opposite of the trail, hidden behind a big piece of bark.
