This is a fun site. Not much walking, but a slippery slide in places.
There are short trails near by, fishing, swimming and canoeing.

About 100 years ago there lived and elderly lady on this site. The town folk thought her to be “strange and have strange ways.” They would convict her of being a Witch. The town folk gathered at the far end of town and stared walking to her little house. She heard they were coming however, and slipped away quietly in her boat. The house was burned and today the cellar hole still remains.

DIRECTIONS. Take Rt. 132 S. at the New Hampton Fire Station. Take the first Right on Old Bristol Rd. Follow this road down to the river. When you see water on either side of the road, slowly go another 100 feet and pull over to a parking space. Get out carefully, as there are cars coming on this road. Walk to the right and notice the old cellar hole. Notice the 4 huge birch trees. Go to the 2 fallen trees but do not go over them. Look to the left and notice the 2 huge roots of other fallen trees. ‘Root’ around to find the
“ Brew Pot”

The ground is slippery for very small children. A good pair of hiking boots will help!
