This series is dedicated to the productions of the Bedford Community Theatre.

To begin you need to drive to the Bedford Community House where the theater is located . To find directions go to www.bedfordcommunitytheatre.org. It is the little white building on the corner of Main St. and Church St.

The first box "BCT" can be found here. This was just replaced as of 10/02/08. Facing the entrance to the building, walk around the right side. You will see a side door entrance, then beside that what looks like 2 cellar doors. Look beside the second one (on the right) under a pile of rocks and you will find the first box. To continue you will need to circle around the block as you are on a one way street.Drive back up Main Street. It will turn into Bedford Center Road.
Follow along Bedford Central Road until you come to Succabone where you will make a left. At Guard Hill Road Succabone shifts to the right around the clock tower. Stay on Succabone to Alice then make a right on Alice. Drive to the end where there is a big round about. Park and walk to an opening on your right. There should be a giant tree on your left. Behind this tree there is a large pile of rocks. About 5 feet from the tree under the rocks is The Fiddler On The Roof box. If you had continued driving instead of turning down Alice, on the next corner is Temple Shaaray Tefila. I had wanted to plant it there but there was no where to plant it.
Make your way back to Guard Hill Road, take a right, drive all the way to the end where it intersects Route 22.
Now you can find the "Sound Of Music" letterbox. Turn right onto 22. Follow this road. It will make a rather sharp curve to the left at which point you will be entering Bedford Village. On your left you will see a movie theater, park the car and walk back to the theater. Looking at the theater head towards your left past the flower shoppe.Walk down the cement path/stairs. You will see a sign-Bedford Photo Grafic, then the path turns. Walking down 2 steps, on your right side there is a railing pole. The box is hidden in the wall right by the pole, covered by some rocks!

Now for "To Kill A Mockingbird". Head back down Rte. 22 from where you came. On the right you will come upon Hook Rd on the right. Turn onto this road and pull over to park.
You will then see a magnificent Oak tree. It is the oldest and largest Oak tree in Westchester...over 500 years old. In the book/movie/play the Radley Peacan Tree plays an important role. Only such a grand oak tree could be representative for this letterbox. Stand looking at 22 with your back to the tree. Look to your left in the top of the stone wall. There is rope fence outside the stone wall. Lined up with the second wooden post is where you want to look in the wall for the box.

The fourth box has its home at Caramoor. Caramoor does close for the winter months. For the next box continue down Rte 22 heading north, then make a right on Girdle Ridge Road. Follow this a mile till you come to Caramoor-center for Music and the Arts on your right. Turn in here. Go through the automatic gate. Continue on the road till you come to a parking area on your right. Park here. Walk to the front of this area where there will be the Venetian Theater slightly to your left. Make this left and follow along this road. Make a right turn at the washroom area. On your right go down the steps to the mens washroom.Dirctly to your left there is a stone wall. About 3 feet from the pink wall the box is hidden in the stone wall. This is the MUSIC MAN box.

The fifth box is in honor of THE MIRACLE WORKER. The original one went missing ans as of 5/07 a new one has been placed at a different location. Now, the new one was swept away by the river. Someone has notified me that they found it and I hope to reclaim it soon! Go back to Rte 22 and continue north a few hundred yards till you come to Beaver dam road on your left. This is a little dirt road. Follow 2 curves in the road, down a hill and over a little bridge. Now keep your eyes peeled . On the right there is a break in the fence, which is an opening leading to a trail. Park on the road and walk through. You will see a trail map ahead, a stream on the right and a field where horses leap to the left . Once the field ends and the trees begin, walk down the path that looks like a road-there are 2 grooves for tires. A little further down on the right,a little path juts out and leads to the stream. Follow the path to the right and looking beyond it a few feet there will be a tree with 6 trunks. The box is hidden here under some rocks in the trunk.

The six box is in honor of THE PRISONER OF SECOND AVENUE. Continue on Beaver Dam, until you see a mini driveway or car pull in on the right. Pulling in here, on the right side there are many logs. There is a giant log, then the second log is a 4 pronged stump. It is behind this one you will find the box. Looking up to the top of the hill through the trees you have a view of the prison!
