RIPLEY HOMEGROWN
Ripley, Tn. is known for it's Tomatoes, named after the town. Ripley was founded in 1835 as the "county seat" of Lauderdale County in Tennessee. Each year there is a Tomato Festival. Ripley tomatoes are a favorite throughout the Eastern US. Approximately 1200 acres in Lauderdale County are dedicated to growing tomatoes.

RIPLEY is APPROX. 50 miles NORTH of MEMPHIS, TN. on HWY. 51. (From Covington Ripley is about 15 miles North on 51) While travelling NORTH on Hwy 51 entering Ripley look for a sign on the RIGHT side of Hwy. that announces RIPLEY WATER PARK. Turn Right off of Hwy 51 onto Keller Ave to the RIPLEY WATER PARK (look for Park Sign). The park is about 1.5 mile on the Right. When entering the park follow main road past water slide and playground (on Right) past another playground (on the Left). Before leaving park, look for walking path that will cross the road you are on. PARk and start on the walking trail to the Left. (Heading to the North East corner of the park. About 500 ft. ahead the trail curves to the left, in that curve is a "garden" that has a bridge and a gazebo with a bench underneath. GO To the Gazebo. Facing the Gazebo, to the Left side, the Letterbox will be in eave of the gazebo (toward the back). The park is usually crowded so be careful replacing the box. Happy Letterboxing!
