Drive to the Hoquiam Airport. Park by Lana's Cafe. Walk past the big yellow gate with a stop sign on it. Follow the black top road by the hangers, to the shorebird trail.
Start following the trail. Pass the 1st bench. Pass the 2nd bench. Look for birds. Cross the Sandpiper trail bridge. At the fork turn right. At the 3rd benches rest, if you like, and watch for planes. Continue on- take a look through the spyglass, what do you see? Pass the 4th benches. Pass the 5th benches. At fork, turn right for viewing platform, otherwise continue on. Count 220 paces from the white poles, and orange flag on the runway to your right, staying on the trail. On right side of walkway you will see a big tree with twin trunks, and many branches. Nestled in the tree, covered and hidden in plain sight you will find your prize. Yay!
