This The R J Ruby letterbox is located at the White Rock roadside park on M-25 about 9 miles south of Harbor Beach, just south of Atwater Road. This location is a two-fer, the White Rock letterbox is also located here.

This letterbox is in honor of Ron & Jane’s 40th wedding anniversary. Way to go!

Park in the parking lot and look for the commemorative plaque on a large rock. Follow the sidewalk path that leads to the overlook where the remnants of White Rock can still be seen. Read the plaques and remember the year that the square dancers were killed. Add up the individual numbers in the year.

Now, return to the parking lot and follow the paved trail to the south of the parking lot.

Cross the bridge but look out for trolls. Several have been seen in the area and while most are nice, some can be down right nasty.

Follow the trail past the Thuja Occidentalis. At the Y in the trail look for the Crataegus Crusgalli and follow to the bend by the Cornus Sericea. Take time to admire beautiful Lake Huron from this vantage point.

At this point you will see a bench along the trail. From the northeast corner of the bench, proceed north along the trail by the number of steps you figured above. To your left you will see a good hiding spot beneath the cedars about 2 paces off of the trail.

The box is in a clear container and contains a stamp & log book.

Terrain: Easy, and the trail is paved. Insect repellant is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED in the summer for a comfortable walk.

Distance to box: Less than a mile.

CAUTION!: I've been told that there may be some POISON IVY in the area of this letterbox. Please exercise caution when exploring the area, especially if you are alergic to POISON IVY. A good description and pictures of POISON IVY can be found at the link below.
