The White Rock letterbox is located at the White Rock roadside park on M-25 about 9 miles south of Harbor Beach, just south of Atwater Road. This location is a two-fer, the R J Ruby letterbox is also located here.

Park in the parking lot and look for the commemorative plaque on a large rock. Follow the sidewalk path that leads to the overlook where the remnants of White Rock can still be seen. Read the plaques and remember the date that the treaty was signed.

Consider all the numbers that make up the treaty date. The most common number is your clue to the location of the letterbox.

After reading the two plaques at the overlook, proceed down the 72 steps to the shore of beautiful Lake Huron. As you proceed down the steps count backward from 72. When you get to the step number that equals what you figured above, you will find the letter box hidden, appropriately by some rocks. Be sure to watch your steps.

The box is in a clear container and contains a stamp & log book.

Terrain: Easy, but the stairs may be difficult for some. Insect repellant is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED in the summer for a comfortable walk.

Distance to box: Less than a mile.
