Every summer the skies over Woodinville fill with the bright color of hot air balloons. If you plan your boxing visit for late afternoon in the summer (May through August) during fair weather, you have an excellent chance of spotting one yourself.

There is no starting location given for this clue, but if you do a little whining and complaining (to yourself!), I'm sure you can hook up with the correct starting spot. From the parking lot, head down to the trail and start out bearing 160 degrees. Walk for a bit. When you spy the Circle of Eight, take the side trail on the left. Past the CoE, count five cottonwood trees. The south side base of the fifth tree holds your ride back. When I was planting, there was a brown bottle located just above the box!

The trail is paved and there are facilities (and other letterboxes!) close by. The trail gets heavy use during peak times (e.g. sunny Saturday afternoons), so you might find an off-peak visit more enjoyable. Please be discreet and re-hide carefully.
