From Hwy. 169:
Drive east at Four Corners in Maple Valley, Signs begin just after turn. Follow signs eight miles to park.

From Hwy. 410:
Turn north at Farman Rd. Follow signs nine miles to park on the left.

After driving through the entrance to the park, stay straight on that road for about at 1/4 mile. You'll pass through 2 white gates. At 2nd white gate stay straight. Take your next right. You'll pass a couple of picnic areas on your left hand side and a bathroom. Drive straight back until parking lot ends. Park at the very end of the parking lot. The Green River will be in front of you but you'll only hear it. There is a sign hut to the right with 2 trails on each side of it.

To find "Alysia" you will follow the trail to the left of the sign hut that has River Information on it. Take the first trail to the left (at the River Trail sign) before you reach the river. After approx. 130 steps and after going right along the river, you will come to another trail to the left. Take it but stop here. There should be a tangled, mossy root at your right foot, sticking out of the ground. Look at the tree that it leads to on the right. Towards the bottom but not touching the ground, you'll see a few branches leaning over each other. Look under the bark and ferns and you'll find "Alysia" peacefully resting in her letterbox. She loves the sound of the river flowing and the birds whistling. Keep following this trail and it will take you back to your car.

To find "Marcia" you will follow the trail to the right of the sign hut that has River Information on it. Follow this trail about 125 steps, to just about the top of the hill. To the right of the trail you'll see a big tree with roots facing the trail. There is a big rock in the middle of the roots. Turn to the right and face the rock. Look to the right and in back of the roots and you'll see a stump with a little tree growing out of it. To the bottom front of that stump you will find "Marcia". She will be hiding under bark and ferns.
