From the South.
Take Hwy. 16 toward Bremerton.
Hwy. 16 becomes Hwy. 3 Get on left side of hwy.
Take ramp to the left toward Belfair.
Go straight through the stoplight.
Turn left at stop sign. This is the Old Belfair Hwy.
Go approximately 6 miles, just past the Bear Creek Dewatto gas station & store.
Turn right onto Bear Creek/Dewato Road.
Go approximately 3 miles to Gold Creek.
Turn right onto Gold Creek Road.
Follow for approximately 3 ½ miles. You will pass Tahuyeh Lake on your left.
Around ¼ mile past the Y, you will see a blue gate on the right side of the road.
Park alongside the road. Do not block the gate.



From Silverdale.
Take Hwy 3. to Newberry Hill Road.
Follow to the end of Newberry Hill Road. Turn left onto Seabeck/Holly Road.
Go to the second flashing light. Turn right at Holly Road.
Pass Wildcat Lake.
Pass Lake Symington.
Turn left on Tahuyeh Lake Road.
Around ½ mile, look to the left and you will see a blue gate.
Park alongside the road. Do not block the gate.


From Bremerton:
Take Kitsap Way to the Y.
Take the left part of the Y – Northlake Way.
Follow to another Y. Take left on the Y to Seabeck/Holly Road.
Go to the flashing light. Turn left onto Holly Road.
Pass Wildcat Lake.
Pass Lake Symington.
Turn left on Tahuyeh Lake Road.
Around ½ mile, look to the left and you will see a blue gate.
Park alongside the road. Do not block the gate.




Go over/under/around the gate to a logging road.
Follow the main logging road to the bridge.
Cross the bridge of 1984.
Go 30 paces from the bridge up and over a small mound of dirt.

Down the trail to the bed of moss.
Find the mossy octopus tree.
Look at its trunk and there I’ll be.
