Level of Difficulty - Easy

Distance to Box – 50 yards

In the Wicklow Mountains, South of Dublin there is a small community called Glencree. Just down the road from the Glencree Center for Reconciliation (a great place to stop for coffee after your search) on the right hand side of the road, is a small, little known memorial and cemetery for German Soldiers killed in Ireland during World War two. Pull into the small Parking spot in front of the cemetery. Follow the path up to the cemetery where you will find a beautiful, peaceful spot (don’t forget your camera!) Up above you on the hill is a large cross, a path to the right will lead you up there if you feel up to the climb. After you’ve had a good look around, follow the sound of water until you come to one of the most magical spots in Ireland. Find a rough wooden railing with a mossy rock growing in on the other side. There is a large hollow in this rock, if you reach deep inside you will find the Spud Cup.

Although this is an out of the way spot, please be careful that you are not seen when you take and replace the letterbox. This spot is well loved and carefully tended and we want this letterbox to remain as long as possible. Thanks so much to Lily and Kreepy Kelli for getting these boxes to us for hiding.

Happy boxing!
