Two ways to get to this letterbox. Driving from Hot Springs south on 209 go 3.5 miles or .03 miles south of the Rocky Bluff Campground. Park at the Van Cliff trail. There will be a spring on your left when you follow the trail up about 1/4 mile or about 550 paces, but who's counting. Stop and on your right will be an old oak with a rock stuck in its craw. Off to the right behind the small rock is the cliff hanger.
If your hiking start on the Van Cliff trail at the campground and head right at the fork. After crossing 209 there will be a spring on your left when you follow the trail up about 1/4 mile or about 550 paces, but who's counting. Stop and on your right will be an old oak with a rock stuck in its craw. Off to the right behind the small rock is the cliff hanger.
