From Connersville, take highway 1 about five miles. Turn west on Bentonville Rd. Go about five more miles, or til you get to the four-way stop, and voila! You're in the big city. :) If you turn back south, you'll shortly come to a church on the right, and a grave yard. Park in the lot south of the church. When you go through the fence towards the back of the church, you'll enter the old part of the cemetary. The two tallest headstones in the immediate vicinity mark the graves of members of the Loder family. Alf Loder built the oldest house in this area which is back at the four-way on the NW corner. There are also several stones for members of the Schrader and Weaver families, who donated the land just east of here, the Schrader-Weaver nature preserve. There are also members of the Manlove family here, for whom the Manlove Park, also east of here, were named.

Go all the way back to the SW corner of the graveyard where the corner of the fencing is. Walk north along the fence to a short cut treestump/fence post. Check it out and see if there's anything in there of note.

ASIDE: This stamp was part of the "Scenes" PLB ring and has finished its postal traveling. You will see that this "scene" can be appreciated almost any evening of the week, especially in the spring and late summer. It was inspired by my westward drives toward home on these old back roads, and my country roots. The grain elevators you see to the NE of here sorta helped things along. :)
