Halfway between Woodstock and Phoenicia is a park called:
K_L_W_ilson....State.....Park

This park is open to the public for free in the winter and early Spring. The park opens around Columbus day and then there is a day fee for hikers. [Seniors (62+) can use the park for free on weekdays]
(has been a small fee [$1] but that may change)

This is a hike-it or mountain bike-it letterbox. The distance to it is a little over a mile. It should take about an hour to check it out.

Start at B_eaver.....P_ond....nature trail at the south end of the parking lot.

Follow the wetlands to the small pond and here make a sharp right for about 50 feet to the bike path. Follow the bike path for about 3/4 of a mile. You will pass two stone wall boundary
walls and then heading downhill, another two stone walls. here you begin to get close to the PINE MAZE. Walk straight through for about 300 yards until you get to a fork. [This fork point will be a future reference for a second LB on this path] Take the right fork path. At the split take the right trail for 60 steps. You will see a flat light colored rectangle block on the left of the trail.{On side of the block are some giant old trees that may have been
Black Cherry trees) Near here (across the trail)is a large boulder and a flat rock. The Rock is obvious and nearby are two huge Pine Trees, one is a double tree! Behind this is the LB! A flat rock is leaned against it.

The trail is a loop that brings you back to the start of the maze. Watchout for eyelevel branches and there is some old bobwire on the return banks ahead, so leash any dog at this point.
