These boxes are located in Evansburg State Park in Montgomery County.

From Skippack Pike (Rt 73) take Evansburg Rd. (Old Forty Foot Rd becomes Evansburg when it crosses 73). You have to turn onto Kratz Rd for a short time to get back on Evansburg Rd. (better check your map). Eventually you will hit Mill Rd. Turn left. This will take you to the park entrance.

Alternative route from Germantown Pike. Look for Skippack Creek Rd. Keyser Mill will be on the corner. Follow Skippack Creek to the park entrance.

This series was carved by my various children ages 8 to 12. They were planted by my 12 year old daughter and her friend.

Notes and warnings:
This is series of 4 letterboxes (plus a bonus box if you find the clue).
I estimate the round trip for all 4 is a little more than a mile.
There are some short steep hills to climb up and down.
There may be some heavy brush and briars by mid summer (I planted them in late Feb.)

Snoopy
Drive all the way through the park to the visitor’s center. Cut through the herb garden and enter the Old Farmstead Trail. Cross the wooden bridge. Take the small trail off to the left after crossing the bridge. You will come to a clearing. Look for short red water pump. Standing there take a bearing of ~ 50 degrees. Look for a steep trail down. Most of the way down the steep trail, look for the large downed tree on the left. Snoopy is resting in the uphill end of the trunk.

Lucy
From Snoopy, cross the small stream (you’re on your own for this task) and take the horse trail up the hill. You will come to a picnic grove. Find Orienteering post “T”.
Standing next to this, head in the general direction of 150 degrees. From the top of the ridge, you should be able to see a large tree lying in the clearing. Lucy is hiding in the “Y”

Charlie Brown
From Lucy, head towards the stream. You should come upon the Old Farmstead Trail soon. Turn left. Cross a small wooden bridge and follow the trail for a while. When you see the main creek, find the multi-directional trail marker. Turning left, take ~ 29 steps from the marker. Look for a large, split stump down towards the water. Look in the roots, behind a rock for Charlie Brown.

Linus
Go back to the Old Farmstead Trail. Pass a small creekside “classroom”. Follow trail uphill. Cross a bridge. It gets pretty tricky here. Turn left towards the water. There is a barely visible trail that heads that way and around the edge of the hill to the right. The underbrush is likely to be very thick. If you can whack your way through, you will get to a clearer area and see a small, natural stone wall. Linus is hiding here at the base of the wall under a large stone. More to the left than the right.
You may find it a little easier to approach this box from over the top. Be careful.

To get back to your car (and the visitor’s center) follow the trail uphill (there will be wooden steps and landings to help you). At the top, turn right. The trail almost immediately splits. Take the right hand path. We hope you survive and enjoy.
