Status of Letterbox: Alive and Well on 5/15/2011
The "Texas Sprint Champion" letterbox is located in Lost Creek Park, along Oyster creek. The park has soccer facilities and is park of the Oyster Creek hike and bike trail.
Directions:
From Hwy 59, exit Hwy 6 and go south. Turn left on Settlers Way. Turn right on Lost Creek Blvd and go to end of road, and enter park. Turn left and go to far end of parking lot.
To the Letterbox:
Get on the sidwalk, and head north. As you decend, angle right to the the emergency call box. From here, take a compass reading of 100 degrees. Now go into the brush for 37 steps (trying to stay on that heading). Look for a medium sized tree with multiple vines all over it. The letterbox is at the base of the tree. Now go find "If you plant them...".
