~10/28/07 This box has been put back and is all spruced up and awaiting visitors.~
~8/11/07 Great news. This box has been located!!! I have pulled it for maintenance and will post when it gets replaced.~
~Update 6/27/07. I have now been informed that this box is missing. I have not been able to confirm this yet. As soon as I do, I will post it.
Update 6/11/07. I have been informed that the No Fishing signs are no longer in place. I've adjusted the clues slightly.
I believe that there truly are Angels that walk among us in many different ways. Here is a small tribute to some of the most wonderful people(Angels?) that I have met.
You will need to bring markers for this box.
Directions:
Find your way to Haddam Meadows State Park in Haddam on route 154.
Drive in and bear right. You will have a large field on your left.
Continue to the right, following the one way sign.
Drive to the other end, by the boat launch.
Park here.
Clues:
Head in a West"-ish" direction towards a yellow gate with a no fishing (this sign is gone) sign next to it.
Go around the gate and walk on the earthern dam.
When you reach the next no fishing sign (this sign is gone)-
Instead, continue across the earthern dam to the far end.
STOP.
Look left.
There you will see an "ugly" tree on the other side of the path.
Go around the back of this tree to find the Butterfly Angel Letterbox.
Return to your vehicle by retracing your steps.
I hope all of you take time to thank the "Angels" in your life from time to time.
