What'll it be? Well, before you place your order, you've got to find this box.
Park somewhere on Craven St. in the historic downtown shopping area. Make your way to the Trent River Coffee Company.

"This complete coffee bar and retail coffee shop is the social gathering place for locals on most weekday mornings for endless coffee or hot chocolate and a selection of breakfast breads and pastries. Looking for something a little cooler? Trent River Coffee Company also serves ice cream and milk shakes. On announced evenings, this is the staging place for the Down East Folk-Arts Society live performances and other performing musicians. Coffee and a world of other things are brewing every day."
If you're in New Bern for an extended time, check out the storefront window for great info. on events in our area.
Then, check out the coffee shop and awesome historic building. We suggest you order something small--because it'll be good and it will support one of New Bern's small businesses. You might want to tell the owner (or whoever's working) that you're in search of a letterbox. Then, make your way toward the door. You'll find the box on top of an old safe, under the largest coffee pot we've ever seen.
