Kingfisher was a stage stop on the Chisholm Trail before the land run and at the time of the run was one of only four plotted towns! After the pistol start on April 22, 1889, "west liners" picked out choice lots at "King Fisher Station" and named their town "Lisbon". A few hours later the "north liners" arrived and staked out lots north of Lisbon and called theirs "Kingfisher". Two weeks later the drought broke and Kingfisher Creek flooded to a depth of 8 feet. The two towns joined together and became "Kingfisher" which in turn became the "golden buckle of the wheat belt!"
Clues:
Take highway 81 (the Chisholm Trail) to Highway into Kingfisher. If coming from the south, you'll pass a monument to that golden buckle mentioned above. Just north of Wallyworld, you'll see a blue sign that will guide you to the obvious spot for our treasure! Across the road from one of our early governor's mansion you'll see a big camp pot that Jesse himself could've cooked in. Walk straight behind the pot toward the building. When you come to the hedge, turn right and go approximately 10 paces then turn back to the hedge. Your treasure is hiding within the branches.
Happy Questing!
UPDATE: I'm told the camp pot is gone...there is a flower patch in it's place! (2010)
