These boxes are located in Rocky Ridge County Park in York, PA. Wonderful park to visit, especially during the holidays!

Box #1
Spotted Elephant

Directions:
Enter Park and Park at the Oak Timber Picnic Area in the large parking lot area. You might want to grab a park map at the info board near the rest rooms.

Take Trail #1 heading East (Sue’s Trail).
At the "Y" in the Trail stay true to Sue.
Keep walking until you come to a cinder block drainage thingy that goes under the trail between two trail markers. (If you run into a second trail #2-you've missed the thingy!)
Go back 45 steps from the cinder block drainage thingy.
On your right as you go back is an unmarked bike path.
Walk down that trail and hop over the 5’ x 4’ rock.
Stop at the “Y” before a fallen tree.
You’ll see a large rock in the woods 20 steps at 20 degrees.
Standing on that rock--7 steps at 80 degrees there is a large 2-trunked tree. Behind that tree is what you seek.

Box #2
Sam the Snowman

Return to Sue's Trail after finding the Elephant with spots.
Pick up trail #2 by continuing on trail #1.
Keep walking….
A winding path between trees is a sign you’re getting closer.
Keep walking...
See that really "odd" tree on the left of the trail?
Just a little further...

Look for twin moss-covered logs on the right side of the trail. The “shy” Holly tree is about 15 behind them. The treasure is under the SPOR on the left side of the tree. Have a Holly Jolly Time!

Hunting is allowed in some areas, take appropriate precautions. Let us know how you liked this adventure. There is more to come in the series. The series was inspired by Team Little Dog’s Laura’s Childhood Luvs. Black Swan really enjoyed the series. Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer is Black Swan’s favorite holiday program to this day!

Also thanks for the permission of York County park rangers for granting permission for these boxes. More info on the parks of York County can be found at: www.york-county.org. You do need approval to plant in the county parks!!!
