Drive-by
The Kolob Canyons region is a quiet, colorful and scenic collection of red cliffs and narrow canyons. This 5 mile scenic drive follows a valley alongside Taylor Creek. The box is not located in a national park, but near a visitor’s center, which is right off the I-15 freeway between Cedar City and St. George, and can be accessed even after hours.
DIRECTIONS:
From I-15 take the Kolob Canyon exit at mile 40.
CLUE:
Park at the Visitor’s Center. Facing the building, walk to the left and towards the road. Just beyond the gate, are some large rocks. Check behind the 3rd large rock, going toward the canyon and mountains, and close to the road for the box. You will be seen from the parking lot, as well as those passing by on the road up the canyon, so please be very discreet and rehide well.
