Start at Cara's Park next to the sculpture of three fish.

Its so much easier to swim downstream then to fight the current. Walk on the paved path in the direction of the flow of the Clark Fork River.

My oh my, there's lizards on your right and aliens abducting people on your left.

Keep on treking until you come to an informational stone monument with a large map of Missoula's trails. The trail your looking for isn't on this map, but a few steps behind you.

Careful now, unless you have mountain goat feet, take your time.

Follow the sound of the water till you can't go any farther forward.

Walk to your left, passing the stump that beavers nibbled on.

Gee those beavers were hungry. Continue forward until you find the 2nd tree stump that was a beaver's snack.

Between this stump and the tree next to it, you'll find a trout burried under a pile of rocks.
