S.G. at S.G.

Some of my favorite quick, easy reads are the Alphabet Series Mysteries by S.G.
Several years ago I had a bright idea for a series of boxes related to these books which never really got off the ground. In an effort to clean off the workbench, the A, B and C which have been collecting dust for 2+ years have had a little something more carved into them and have been planted for a somewhat quick and easy mystery series for you.

When you stamp the images side by side, you will find out the identity of one of my favorite Private Detectives.
The first two boxes are mini-boxes with no logbooks. Also, there is no ink. I suggest a dark ink for the best results.

Clues
OK, P.I.’s – if you’ve been paying attention to some of our recent activity, you’ll have a map of this place already printed out.
What you are looking for is an unmarked, but cleared trail on the quiet side. It boasts two scenic views, one at an elevation of 580 ft. It mostly runs between trails whose colors are on the low end of the color spectrum (a few paces more and you’ll be square).
Make your way to the southern end of this trail. Three dozen steps in from the sky-colored trail will bring you to a three-sister oak beside some rocks up on your left.
Search in the curl of a root behind it for A puzzle piece.

Continue along in a northerly direction, enjoying views to the east while descending gently. When the trail starts to bend to the right you will take the side trail on the left to an oh-so-pretty view. This time count two dozen steps in on this trail and stop. On your left should be two thigh-high cedars and just beyond them two thin trees (one deceased) close to the stone wall. See what you can discover B-hind a trap door on the far side of the wall beyond them. Then enjoy the lovely view!

Back to the main trail. Continue descending through the mixed hardwood forest till you get to the large cut-away tree. Stop here and make your way 24 steps due north to a large two-sister oak. C if you can uncover the final clue on its NE side.

Hope you enjoyed this little mystery!

Respectfully submitted,
