Middlefield Ohio is one of my favorite places to visit. It has a large Amish community and beautiful country side. I love to go for rides through this area and look at the Amish homes and see them in there buggies. There are a lot of shops in this area and a few oak furniture stores. I hope you enjoy your time here as much as I enjoy it.
Directions: The box is hidden at Swine Creek Park. From St. Rt. 422 in Parkman OH turn onto St. Rt. 528 heading towards Middlefield. Take St. Rt. 528 until you come to St. Rt. 608. Turn right onto 608 and then make an immediate left onto Swine Creek Road. Take Swine Creek Road for approximately two miles until you come to Hayes Road. Turn left onto Hayes and take that until you come to the entrance of Swine Creek Park which is on the left. Turn into the park and go to the left towards the Lodge.
Clues: Park at the lot for the lodge and head towards the pond and the bridge. Cross the bridge. To the left is the lodge and restrooms and to the right is a path. Take the path to the right which is Squaw Root Trail. Follow the trail until it comes to a T. Go to the left and straight. When you come to the next trail marker, stop. You will go to your left 32 paces (1 pace = 2 steps). You will come to an area on the right of twisted vines and a tree that is twisted. Walk into this area past the twisted tree and to a tall stump. Behind the stump is the rest of the tree on the ground. Look on the other side of the tree on the ground for a log that sticks outs with an opening under it. Box is in the opening. Please carefully re-hide the box out of sight when finished.
