The first 2 boxes may be surrounded by poison oak. Please use caution!

This series is in the tiniest little dog park. Don't blink or you might miss it. It looks like just a plain old field but it is indeed a quaint little area to walk around and get some fresh air and some sun (if there is any, there wasn't when we planted these)

NOTE - There is only one log book for this series. Since there are so many stamps we thought it would be easier this way. Feel free to email us with any comments or simply revisit the 1st box on your way out to let us know what you think. We would love to hear from you.

To Get There: Drive west on 18th Ave. And turn left onto to Hawkins Lane. Drive south (uphill) on Hawkins and turn left onto Highland Oaks. There you will see the small field on a hill with parking and a doggie station.

The Clues:

Box #1 - "The Tank"

From the Doggie Station/Park Rules Sign Walk up the gravel trail and make a left at the "Y". This trail is actually a loop and can start from either direction but it's easier this way. Walk uphill until you reach a Tall dead looking oak tree. Keep walking about 30 to 40 steps and keep your peepers open for a REALLY small trail on your left. The beginning of the trail starts directly between two Douglas Fir trees. Standing directly between the trees take a reading of 150 degrees. You should see a dead tree that is stripped of bark and fairly smooth. As you walk to it you will see that it is actually a "V" shaped tree. Standing at the base of the "V" tree look on the west side of the trunk to find your tank.

Box #2 - "The Plants"
From the "V" tree walk approximately 12 steps at 190 degrees to a fallen tree that has been worn smooth by weather. Where the roots rest at the ground there is some ivy starting to spread. Look in the hole that the ivy is coming out of and there you will find the plants for your fish tank.
***Please be careful when replacing this box for the hole in a bit deep***

Box #3 - "The Rock and Snails"

Go back to the main gravel trail. Face south and see the "Rooty Crescent Moon". Walk to the moon and from there walk back towards the main path at 260 degrees to a small Manzanita tree (there are two in this area you want the bigger one). Where the grass grows tall near the base is where you will find some decorations for your tank.

Box #4 - " The Fish"

Continue on the gravel path (downhill) until it starts to curve around to head towards the starting point. You will notice that there is an opening to the left where the park continues. At this opening there is a lonely little tree to your right. From this tree you will see a Douglas Fir tree at 320 degrees. At the base of this tree under some big rocks are the fish and the final ingredient for a relaxing fish tank.

As always please rehide the boxes better than you found them and always becareful when looking in holes.

We hope you like our fish tank as much as we do. We always find them to be so calming.

Let us know if the directions need some work, and if you have trouble please don't hesitate to ask for help :)
