Another in my interstate series though this one isn't an official state symbol. I certainly hope though that you'll enjoy these beautiful creatures as you travel through Montana. They are readily visible from the highways throughout the eastern 2/3rds of the state.
Stop at the east bound rest area near milepost 38 on I-94. Climb the stairs past the restroom building. At the top of the stairs just past where a path to the left leads to a picnic table there is a yucca plant that overhangs the paved path. From the yucca go right (off the paved path now) & slightly uphill 41 paces to a stump partially obscured by a juniper tree. On the juniper side of the stump under the some bark you'll find the box.
