This box was confirmed to be in place on 06/14/08 by Lucy Locket.

************************************
In 1895, Lyman T. Davis made chili in downtown Corsicana and delivered it by wagon to saloons, where it was sold for five cents a bowl--with all the crackers you could eat. He later opened a meat market, where the chili was sold in brick form. In 1921, he started to can his product, which he named "Wolf Brand", in honor of his pet wolf, Kaiser Bill, and the wolf's image is still on the label. Mr. Davis quit the chili business when his ranch was found to have lots of oil. The box in honor of this food favorite is located in the pocket park in downtown Corsicana.

Directions to the Box:

The pocket park is located at 120 N. Beaton, between two stores. Inside the park, look for the cascading brick steps. With the brick steps at your right, and facing the water fall, sit on the brick planter. The box is at the base of a small tree inside the flower bed, covered with vines.
