We planted this, our first box, at the end of an amazing week of homeschooling in the wilderness. The weather was clear as a bell, and the kids saw the Milky Way for the first time. Thus the name of the letterbox.

It's planted in a privately-managed property that is open to the public. There is not a lot of cover around, so extra care will be needed to keep its location hidden from the general public.

From Highway 224, take FSR 4690. Turn left on FSR 4690 and follow it to the junction of FSR 4220. Take a right and follow 4220 to the resort-"O"

From there, follow the line of diminuitive domiciles until you reach 7th Heaven.

From the rear of 7th Heaven, face the mountain not named after a president and look for one of two old-fashioned structures whose distant pasts surely featured copies of the Sears catalogue.

Head to the structure on the left.

Facing its front door, turn 90 degrees to your left. Walk 5 paces, taking care not to trip over the fallen, denuded former forest-dweller.

Turn back 90 degrees to the right. Straight ahead you'll see the twins about 14 paces ahead.

Proceed forward, keeping eyes peeled for the remnants of their comrade. At its base, under some rushes and rocks, lies the letterbox.

Creating this letterbox was a spur-of-the-moment decision for us, and I wasn't even sure I had supplies for it. We made do with what we had. Hope you enjoy it!
