These two boxes were hidden in our families favorite vacation spot. We have spent many weekends enjoying the hospitality of the folks from Ridin'Hy Ranch in Warrensburg, New York. Have fun finding our boxes and then continue up the road to find a really great family vacation ranch.
These boxes have no ink pads in them.
****PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THESE BOXES ARE HIDDEN ON HORSEBACK RIDING TRAILS. IF YOU ARE DRIVING, PLEASE BE PREPARED TO STOP ON SIDE OF ROAD AND SHUT OFF YOUR ENGINE. ONLY CONTINUE AFTER THEY HAVE PAST YOU, FOR YOUR SAFETY AND THE SAFETY OF THE RIDERS.

Take the New York State Thruway Exit 24 at Albany. Then Interstate 87(northway)to exit 24. At end of ramp bear right then go straight thru intersection and cross over bridge. 300 yards from bridge take first left at Ridin Hy Ranch Sign. Remain on this road for 2.5 miles to Ridin'Hy Arrow sign that points to continue up the road to ranch. Stop and park in clearing behind sign. You will see two dirt roads.

****There is a book to stamp in the Cowboy Up Box. Both boxes have been checked in Oct 2008. ALSO SEE EAST MEETS WEST LB IT IS THE 3RD LB IN THIS SERIES.

1st box is the RIDIN'HY:
To find the Ridin'Hy Box drive or walk down the dirt road to the right.(.6 miles slightly up hill) This road follows a beautiful mountain stream and waterfall.( Beavers have dammed the stream in 10/08) Please remember about the trail riders!!!!
At the end of the road you will come to Burnt Pond. Look for a large boulder and on the south side behind a few saplings. You will find the Ridin'Hy Letterbox under a pile of small rocks.

2nd box is COWBOY-UP:
To find this box walk back to your car or drive back to the clearing near the arrow sign and park. Walk up the road to the left, up a hill and past a log cabin. Sounds of the Schroon river to your left. Continue over an earthen bridge and count 125 adult paces to a large square boulder on the right. Continue up the trail another 94 adult paces. You will come to a pile of rocks on your right with an old decayed stump and a birch tree with a strange looking trunk. You will find the box behind the tree under the tree stump.
Please remember to replace the box carefully for others to find and have fun enjoying this beautiful setting.
