****This Box is Missing!!!****

This is the second of the Runners High series. See "Visual Aid" Letterbox for more details.

As you cross the finish line at every marathon and half marathon, runners are awarded a finishers medal to wear around the neck. Find this letterbox to claim your own "finishers medal"!

Directions: From I-45, take the Lake Woodlands/Research Forest/Woodlands Mall exit. You will pass Pappas BarBQ on the right hand side of the feeder. Shortly after that, you will go under a bridge. Turn right under the bridge, which will take you on the bridge over the freeway. As you come over the bridge, The Woodlands Mall will be on your left. Go through the light at Pinecroft, Six Pines and Grogans Mill. You will pass a church on your right and will then go over a bridge. Immediately after the bridge, you will want to turn left into North Shore Park. This park has restroom facilities, a water fountain, playground and picnic area.

Clues: From the parking lot, walk to the water towards the flag pole that proudly flies the American Flag. There will be a path that winds around the water. Turn right onto the path. Walk past six benches overlooking the water. After the sixth bench, you will see a gazebo with a blue metal roof to your left. The path bends towards the right. Instead, keep walking straight, into the grass for 69 steps. In front of you will be a blue "Restricted Open Space Reserve" sign. with a few gray wooden posts in front of it. Find the gray post with the red arrow on it ( it is the last one on the right). From this post, take 12 steps into the trees. To your left, you will see two rotting logs. Heavy Medal is resting between the two logs underneath pine needles and leaves.

Send me an e-mail to let me know how Heavy Medal is doing!
