This letterbox is located on the bike path behind the Gene Rama Baseball fields on Romeo Plank between Canal and Clinton River Rd. It starts at the flagpole behind the concession stands.
Once upon a time there was a teddy bear named Alex. All of the other bears made fun of him because they thought Alex wasn't a bear's name. Alex wanted to change his name, but his owner had no idea, so his owner did not change it his name. So Alex went to find the King Bear to see if he could change his name. Alex went on the path from the flagpole into the woods, where he turned to the left, and stayed on that paved path veering towards the left and past the Dog Park. Then he turned on the first path on the right-paw side. Alex followed the paved path until he reached the third dirt, walking path on the right. He got off his bike and walked down the path. There was a gully, which he went over and on the left-paw side there was a tree with split bark making white stripe down the middle. The first box and the King Bear were around the back of the tree. "Can you change my name to Teddy?" asked Alex. "You cannot change your name without your owner's permission," said the King Bear. "Can you ask my owner for me," asked Alex, "Since I cannot talk human?" "Of course not!" said the King Bear "you will have to learn to talk human." "But who will teach me human?" asked Alex. "Why the Ultimate Maker will," said the King Bear. "But where do I find the Ultimate Maker?" asked Alex. "Well, you return to the main path and continue down the path. You take the path around the bend, and go until you can see the soccer fields on your right paw side. There will be a small fork in the paved path, take the left paw fork and go a few steps. To the left-paw, there should be a rotting tree," said King Bear, "Go and look in the gaping hole. That is where the Ultimate Maker is usually found." So Alex set off to find the Ultimate Maker, whom he found inside the tree with the second box.
"Hello Ultimate Maker, sir," Alex said, "will you teach me how to speak human?" "Of course I will little bear." said the Ultimate Maker. So Alex began to learn human. He did quite well until it was time for his final test. He failed. The King Bear asked him why. "The Ultimate Maker did not teach me how to write human." was Alex's answer. "Well" said the King Bear, "if you will tell me in human what you want to say, I will write your letter." "Thank you so much" screeched Alex "you will not regret this!" So Alex got his letter to his owner. After he sent the letter, he went back home to wait. To find Alex's home, head back to the flagpole, but do not turn onto the path leading to the flagpole itself. Continue on about 20 feet and there should be a large, half-dead tree on the right-paw side. There around the base is Alex's home and the third box. Inside you will find out what Alex's owner changed his name to.

Please be sure to be very discreet when finding and rehiding these boxes as the trails are a high traffic area.
