Letterbox based on one of my favorite JB songs
On Coconut Telegraph:

Island I see you in the distance
I feel that your existence
Is not unlike my own
Island they say no man is like you
They say you stand alone
Sometimes I feel that way too
It’s the need for love
Heart and soul accompaniment
Seems to make me different from you

Clues:

Go east on I70 until you come to the place with a similar name as the box. Pay your fee and park in first parking lot in the day use area, next to the river. Read about the area at the kiosk. Take the cobblestone trail loop following the Colorado River downstream. Pass the 3 ties on your right. You will see a huge gnarly cottonwood on the left. Stop to admire it. Keep walking along the trail past signs where you can read about life along the river. Pass the steep steps on the right and continue along the trail. You will pass several dead trees then the trail will appear to stop at a private property sign. Don’t let this fool you. Continue on the trail down to the shore and you will loop back the way you have come. Pass the almost dead cottonwood. As you ascend up the trail from the shore there is a dead tree on your right. Island lies under the tree where it rests on the uphill side of the bank. Continue up the stairs to finish your loop.

Please rehide carefully so that it is completely hidden from view and does not get washed down the hill.

Hand carved stamp.
Handmade journal.

Walk to the box shouldn't take more than 10-15 minutes. Easy for kids, but watch them around the river. No strollers or wheelchairs.
